Wood heat and electric heat, good to use both
64Wood with back up electric heat
I really enjoy the feeling of the heat from a wood stove so much more over that of electric heat. It has a more comforting down to earth feeling to it, either because your mind remembers growing up this way or because it simply is more of the earth and more natural so that your body just seems to more naturally love it. I believe it to be a little bit of both working at the very same times to keep you coming back for more of this sort of a heat source over that of the standby electric. If we let the fire burn down on accident or come home to it out we simply build another, but in freezing cold temperatures it becomes very clear that you must turn on that old electric heating just for a brief time until your fire is going in order to not be frozen yourself or your pipes being frozen too. Being out of use of any water on top of freezing can be twice as nasty, so keep your sinks open under neath and the heat will warm them enough.
There can be more issues brought up here
There are the environmental worries to consider here too. It has been proven to us that our trees are being over used for firewood and that not all of the things being burned in our wood stoves are safe for old Mother Earth at all really. Yet many of us still use and prefer this form of heat in our homes today, either for the comforts reasons mentioned before or for the saving money aspect of it all too. So we just sort out more of what we burn and take it to the nearest recycle plant, and burn the rest of course papers, and wood materials are all safe to our planet enough still. Even all foods or yard composts too. anything that has come from the Earth my be burned safely still. Then there are the issues brought up by some that we hurt our economy by not using and paying for the electric heat in our homes. Yet, there are still so many millions of people paying for electric heaters in there apartments and homes every month nationwide that quite a few people are finding this argument very weak and hard to believe too. So back to the wood heat they stay.
Keeping the wood coming in and how it all gets split up too
Well, there is a very big issue here to deal with, you see some people are getting older today and unable to physically do all of the work that they used to when it comes to cutting, loading, and stacking all of this wood for the winters. So, that they do end up with there usual hauls of wood brought in each year, some have had to pay people for this service by the quart of wood. While others still are requesting that some family members assist in these efforts every year, and while doing this they are again making this into a time honored old classic family tradition too. Where each member of the family has there own part to do, then they end up working as a team together to get the work all finished and go home to unload it all too. This usually takes a crew working together of about four or five people, but the more the faster that all the work gets done and they can go home to actually enjoy that good old wood heat you have all worked hard for now.
Wood heat a family tradition for some
Some choose to not buy these supporting a people who they themselves have never had to even pay an electric bill in there lives
This is were having a wood stove is very smart too
What we have done as a family every year since my Great Grandpa was little five generations now, it's more though we know that
